About This Opportunity
YMCA Youth & Government is a statewide civic engagement program for high school students. Participants learn about government by writing bills, debating legislation, running campaigns, and participating in a model legislative session at the NC General Assembly. The program runs during the school year with local club meetings and culminates in a state conference. Students join through their local YMCA branch.
